Diversity Day 2026
On 19.05.2026, Jena celebrates Diversity Day for the 13th time!
The Anti-Discrimination Office is once again organizing the Day of Diversity together with the AWO's Intercultural Opening Office and with the support of the Economic Development Agency's Skilled Labour Service as well as numerous institutions, organizations, associations and committed private individuals. Of course, we will once again be promoting our #JenaSchauHin campaign. Numerous hands-on activities await around the Holzmarkt and the stage program is also colourful and diverse. International Weeks against Racism 2026
In 2026, we once again set an example for democracy, diversity, human dignity and respect during the International Weeks against Racism and drew attention with our campaign signet on the digital walls from 23 - 29 March 2026. In addition, numerous activists organized events in the city during the campaign period 16 - 29.03.2026.

Discussion event "Together against racism - understanding, listening, acting"
The Migration and Integration Advisory Board of the City of Jena invited to a public discussion event with keynote speeches at the International Center "Haus auf der Mauer" on 23.03.2026 as part of the International Weeks against Racism:
- 1. "Racist Hate Speech in Everyday Life - Experiences of Black People in Germany" - Laura Deliagiacoma, Friedrich Schiller University Jena (KomRex)
- 2. "Updating the city program - measures against racism in Jena" - representatives of the editorial group involved in the update
"100% human dignity - together against racism" rally
Under the motto of the International Weeks against Racism, the Jena Migration and Integration Advisory Board, in cooperation with Ansole e. V., Bewusstsein e. V., Iberoamérica e. V. and JenaUA e. V., invited people to take a stand against racism and for respectful coexistence on the Holzmarkt on 21 March 2026. In addition to speeches from migrant communities, there were also cultural contributions.

Film and information evening "Reason for escape: Queer"
As part of the International Weeks against Racism, Vielfalt Leben - QueerWeg Verein für Thüringen e.V. invites you to a film and information evening. Together with the University Film Club at Café Wagner, the film "We are normal people", produced by the LSVD and the Queer Diversity Association, will be shown to highlight the situation of queer people in various countries of origin. In the subsequent discussion, queer people from different countries of origin who currently live in Jena and Thuringia will have their say. There will be an offer for interpreting.

International Weeks against Racism 2025
The motto of the International Weeks against Racism in 2025 was "Protecting human dignity". From March 17 to 30, 2025, campaigns were also held in Jena by various activists, associations and organizations.
